Hypothetically - Props
For the first shoot, Khadeja arranged all of the props. They included:
An iPod Touch with a Harry Potter phone case. This prop was used as the model of the phone itself coordinated with the 2010s setting of our film opening. Moreover, Harry Potter was a popular franchise at time, further adding to the authenticity.
A pink hairdryer was used by Sam (my character) to add a slight humorous tone and realism. The colour also relates to the style of the 2010s.
Our protagonist's desk was full of props such as the Rubik's cube, sequin dairies, Hello Kitty stationary, and a Diary of a Wimpy Kid novel. All of these items were in trend and commonly used during the years this film was set in. The wallpaper of the iPod was also changed to a picture of the Eiffel tower, which was frequently used by girls in the early 2010s.
For the second day of filming, I arranged all of the props.
These latex gloves added professionalism to the scenes in which they were required. They also conveyed the cautiousness of the protagonist.
This was a more practical prop, rather than for the aesthetic of the film.
The rope was an essential part of the scene, as it conveyed the two-sided personality of the protagonist. It is also slightly run down and messy which shows the hurry the protagonist may have been in. Initially, we had two options for the rope, this and a thicker orange one. After trying both out on our support character, we chose this one due to its more 'rugged' appearance.
