Font Analysis:
In our film opening, the main texts on screen, apart from credits, include the 'steps' being narrated. For those specific texts, we chose the fonts, Rosamila Regular ('Step # 1'), Welland ('Find A'), and Riverdell Regular ('VICTIM'). These fonts help depict the cute and casual/humorous essence of the opening, relating to our protagonist and her actions. Not only that but the fonts fit the genre/theme of 'dark comedy', and do not look messy/disorganised. The colour of the texts however, will depend according to the lighting conditions and props in the scenes.
For the credits, we chose the font 'Linha' to match the aesthetic we are aiming towards:
Lastly, our title screen also uses the font Welland which is the same as the font used in the steps. This creates continuity and flow within the film (opening), making it more visually comfortable for the audience. The scribble design makes it seem more playful like Sophia's personality and appearance. At the same time it may come off as slightly horror-like due to the use of the red colour, giving an ominous feel.
