Character Research:
Our protagonist, Sophia, is inspired and in some ways, related to the characters: Nana Hiigari (Talentless Nana 2020), Miyo Takano (Higurashi: When They Cry), Morgana Pendragon (Merlin), Charlotte Wiltshire (Hello Charlotte), and Nanno (Girl From Nowhere).
- Nana Hiigari - Talentless Nana
Nana is a character who is initially shown to be an extroverted amiable girl who is easy to connect with. Although she claims she struggles with reading the room, she quickly gains her classmates' trust and becomes friends with them. It eventually grows apparent that this was all a disguise for her ultimate intention of killing her peers. She is vicious when accomplishing her goals and expresses no remorse after having murdered so many of her 'friends'. Nana is skilled in various killing techniques, and even knows how to make poison, which is a result of the assassination training she had undergone. Not only that but she is immensely intelligent and perceptive, as she pays attention to the smallest details, and even at times of danger, remains calm.
- Miyo Takano - Higurashi: When They Cry
This character is rather popular and liked by many, however it is revealed that she has a rather sadistic personality. She managed to hide her true identity from the other characters and even the audience. She gets joy from frightening people with tales of the Hinamiawa's past, is the mastermind behind Oyashiro's curse, and can manipulate others with ease. Given her ruthlessness, she does not care about inflicting pain on others.
- Morgana Pendragon - Merlin
During the beginning, Morgana is shown to be pleasant and clever, however she soon ends up betraying the kingdom of Camelot. She tries to do everything in her power to rule the kingdom herself, involving bloodshed and deceiving her old friends, making them go through unbearable situations.
- Charlotte Wiltshire - Hello Charlotte
Over the course of the first two games in the video game series, Charlotte, the main character, is revealed as a sweet and intelligent girl. However, her completely opposite identity is shown in the last game, 'Childhood's End'. She adopts a caustic demeanour, finding pleasure in creating trouble and hurting those around her. Charlotte also engages in things like her live-streamed programme where she publicly murders other students, in hopes of eliminating any threats.
- Nanno - Girl From Nowhere
When Nanno is first presented, she is portrayed as the epitome of the ideal high school student—a young, kind girl who obtains excellent marks and shows respect to those around her. The viewers soon find out that she is immortal and finds joy in setting her victims off to act upon their hypocritical aims. She also finds it hilarious when the victims feel defenceless and embarrassed.
